UPDATE: Police Respond to Shooting Victim in Perry South

UPDATE: 03/25/8:40 a.m. The victim in this incident was pronounced deceased in the hospital. Any further information will come from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.
Pittsburgh Police Zone 1 officers responded to the 800 block of Brightridge Street for a Shotspotter alert just after 9:30 p.m.
Officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head and a possible puncture wound the chest. He was transported to the hospital by EMS in critical condition.
Detectives from Major Crimes and the Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
