Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 responded to Shotspotter notifications for several rounds fired in the 800 block of Mount Pleasant Road just before 9:15 p.m.
A short time later, a male victim arrived at the hospital by private means with multiple gunshot wounds. His condition was not immediately available.
Detectives from Major Crimes and the Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
