Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 1, as well as detectives from Major Crimes, responded to 911 calls of shots fired in the 1300 block of Truax Way at 3:43 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene they found a male deceased in the street.
Police are investigating this shooting as a homicide.
At 3:45 a.m. police responded to reports of a male shot in the 1600 block of Lowrie Street.
When officers arrived on scene they found a male with gunshot wounds to the face and arm.
He was conscious and alert. He was transported by EMS to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
Police are investigating both shootings. It is too soon to determine whether the two incidents are related.
