Firefighters Responded To A Fatal Fire In Homewood South

Summary:
Pittsburgh EMS, Fire and Police responded to a 9-1-1 call around 3:20 a.m. for a structure fire on the 500 block of Clawson Street.
When firefighters arrived, they observed flames coming out of the 2nd floor of the home. First responders were alerted that a victim was possibly still inside.
Firefighters made entry and located the male on the 2nd floor.
Medic 11 transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The fire was deemed under control around 4 a.m.
The Fire Investigation Unit are investigating to determine the cause.
The Red Cross will be assisting the displaced residents.
