Police and EMS Responded To a Fatal Shooting in Homewood West

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert for 11 rounds on the 600 block of N Dallas Avenue around 3:45 a.m.
When Zone 5 officers arrived, they were directed to a male with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police rendered aid until EMS arrived.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics.
A second male arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle, with a gunshot wound to the hand.
VCU and MCU detectives arrived and processed the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
