Police and EMS Responded To A Shooting In Homewood

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert around 6:20 p.m. for the 1000 block of Lawndale Street.
While in route, Zone 5 officers were notified of a gunshot victim on the 7100 block of Frankstown Avenue.
Police located the juvenile victim in the SUV with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers rendered aid to the 6-year-old passenger until medics arrived.
She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The adult driver was not injured.
The Mobile Crime Unit arrived and processed the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
