Police Investigate Body Recovered from Allegheny River

Summary:

At approximately 1:15 p.m, Pittsburgh Police were alerted by boaters on the Allegheny River to a body in the water on the City side of the 40th Street Bridge.

River Rescue responded to the scene and recovered the body of a male.

Major Crimes is investigating.

Cause and manner of death will be released by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
