The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police has released its May 2021 Uniform Crime Report (UCR) statistics sheets city-wide and for all six police zones.
The statistics, which cover from May 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021, are prepared by the Crime Analysis Unit.
The stats show overall crime incidents in the City of Pittsburgh followed seasonal patterns with an 11.7% increase from April 2021 to May 2021 and a 12.4% increase compared to May 2020. Crime incidents in May 2021 were 14% below the 5-year average for May.
