Summary:

Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert for multiple rounds fired on the 7400 block of Monticello Street on August 2nd around 10:35 p.m.

Upon investigating the area, a Zone 5 officer located a male with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle.

The victim was pronounced at the scene. There are no suspect descriptions. The Mobile Crime Unit and Homicide detectives arrived to process the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
