Just before 8:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to a gas leak in a building near the corner of Hope Street and River Avenue in Zone 2.
Two nearby unoccupied office buildings as well as the future site of the Van Gogh exibit were evacuated out of precaution. No visiting members of the public were inside at the time.
Fire and gas crews brought the leak under control and cleared the area before 9 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
