On November 11, 2021, the US Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force and the City of Pittsburgh SWAT team arrested 19-year-old Mariah Harrison of Fineview for a homicide that occurred on August 14, 2021 on Jacunda Street in Beltzhoover.
Additionally, Justin Nicholas was present when Harrison was taken into custody and had an outstanding warrant for firearms violations. After an interview, Nicholas is also charged in the Jacunda Street homicide.
A stolen firearm was recovered at the scene when Nicholas and Harrison were taken into custody.
They are both charged with Criminal Homicide, Conspiracy and Robbery.
Harrison and Nicholas’ arrests are the second in the August 14 homicide. On September 20, police arrested 20-year-old Raymontay Green from Arlington. He is charged with Criminal Homicide, Criminal Conspiracy, Carrying a Firearm without a License and Persons not to Possess a Firearm.
ORIGINAL ENTRY (August 14, 2021):
Just before 11:45 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 responded to a ShotSpotter notification, followed by a 9-1-1 call, for a vehicle into a house in 800 block of Bernd Street in Beltzhoover.
Respondng units discovered the lone occupant of the vehicle, a male driver, had suffered a gunshot wound.
Medics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit (VCU) are investigating.
