Police Respond to a Shooting in The hill District

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police and EMS responded to the 2300 block of Centre Avenue for a male with a gunshot wound.

Responding Zone 2 officers located the male with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

There were no descriptions given of the shooter.

Upon processing the scene on Centre Avenue, Police were alerted to a home on the 3300 block of Iowa Street that was struck by multiple rounds. There were no reported injuries when police arrived.

It is unknown at this time if both events are related, and the investigation is ongoing.
