ORIGINAL POST:
Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 5 responded to reports of a collision involving one of its police cruisers on Frankstown Avenue near N. Homewood Avenue just after 3:00 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene they found that a large truck had rear-ended the cruiser.
One officer was transported to UPMC Mercy to be evaluated for a possible head injury.
The Police Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
