Pittsburgh Detectives Arrest Two for Attempted Homicide of Infant

Summary:

Two people are facing attempted homicide charges in connection with an infant hospitalized in November 2021. 

24-year-old Teshawn Ahkir Williams and 25-year-old Tamaya Harris, both of Pittsburgh, are charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children, Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault. 

On November 25, 2021, Pittsburgh Police responded to a local hospital for an infant with injuries consistent with shaking. The baby was in critical condition. 

Special Victims Unit detectives determined the injuries occurred while the infant was in the care of Williams and Harris. 

Both Williams and Harris turned themselves into police. They are housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
