Just after 4:15 p.m., Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 2 spotted bricks that had fallen from a building in the 900 block of Penn Avenue.
Police immediately called the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire for assistance and the Department of Public Works, which erected wooden barricades on the sidewalk around the building.
The bricks knocked out the back window of a vehicle parked on the street below. There were no injuries and police gathered information from the vehicle's owner.
The Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) has been notified to determine the structural integrity of the building and its facade.
