Zone 5 Officers Respond to Three Armed Robberies Overnight

Officers in Zone 5 responded to three armed robberies overnight. It is believed the incidents are most likely related and the investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is can contact Zone 5 police at (412) 665-3605.

Just before 9 p.m. on February 22, 2022, officers in Zone 5 responded to the Family Dollar on the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar for an armed robbery.

Two males held cashiers at gunpoint and demanded money. The suspects left the scene on foot and there were no injuries.

MCU and VCU processed the scene.


At 10:55 p.m. on February 22, officers responded to a business in the 4900 block of Penn Avenue for a robbery.

Two males entered the business, displayed a weapon and demanded money before firing a shot into the floor. An employee was hit with a small piece of the bullet and was treated for minor injuries. There were no transports.


Just after midnight on February 23, officers responded to the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue for a robbery.

Two actors held an employee at gunpoint and demanded money from their person and the cash register.

MCU processed the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
