One Person Killed after Shooting in Zone 3

Summary:
Just after 6 p.m. on February 23, 2022, officers in Zone 3 responded to Reifert Street in the area of Roll Way for a shooting.
They found an 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the back in the area of Wilbur Street.
Officers rendered aid before the victim was transported in critical condition to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
VCU detectives processed the scene.
No one is in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
