Investigators have arrested Matthew Trapuzzano on multiple charges after Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, EMS and Police responded to a fire on March 19, 2022.
Initially, Zone 3 police responded to a domestic call at a home on the 300 block of Moore Avenue.
After that call, Trapuzzano was observed by witnesses attempting to set fire to the front porch. He was then observed on the front porch with smoke billowing out of the home before walking away from the scene.
Investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set.
Six dead cats were also recovered at the scene.
Trapuzzano is facing multiple charges, including Arson, Endangering Persons; Arson, Endangering Property; Causing Risk of Catastrophe, Criminal Mischief and Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
He is in the Allegheny County Jail.
