River Rescue Responds To Body Discovered Near Ohio River

Summary:
River Rescue, Pittsburgh EMS and Pittsburgh Police responded to Doerr Street around 5:30 p.m. for a reported body found near the river.
When first responders arrived, a kayaker directed them to the location on shore.
River Rescue transported the victim to its North Shore boathouse for transfer to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner. The identity and cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. Police are investigating.
Pittsburgh River Rescue is comprised of EMS and Pittsburgh Police.
