Update/Correction: The initial response time for this fire was erroeously written as 1:53 am. Firefighters were dispatched at 1:02 a.m. and arrived six minutes later. Apologies for any confusion this might have caused.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to the 6500 block of Llewellyn Street just after 1 a.m. for reports of a residential structure fire. The fire grew to a two alarm response a short time later. A neighboring structure was exposed to the fire.
The home where the fire originated was unoccupied at the time. The occupant of the other home was able to exit safely with no injuries.
As many as 7 people are believed to be displaced by the fire.
There were no injuries to firefighters.
The Fire Investigation Unit was on scene to investigate.
