UPDATE: Police, EMS Respond for Two People Shot in Uptown

The female victim originally thought to have suffered a gunshot wound had in fact sustained a head wound during the incident. She was not shot. She is being treated in the hospital.
Original post:
Just after 6 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 4 were called to Fifth Avenue and Seneca Street for reports of two individuals who suffered gunshot wounds.
Officers located a male and a female who had each suffered gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported by EMS in critical but stable condition. The female was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
