At 3:49 a.m., firefighters from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire were alerted to a fire in a 3-story commercial structure at 1925 East Carson Street.
The first crews from Engine 24 were on scene at 3:54 a.m. The fire grew to 4-alarms for manpower, with approximately 50 firefighters responding.
The main building was vacant and there were two exposure buildings on either side. All occupants of the exposure buildings were able to exit safely.
There were no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters.
The Fire Investigation Unit will work to determine the cause.
