While on regular patrol of 255 E.Ohio Street at 7:30 a.m. on June 27, Zone 1 officers observed a male sitting inside a vehicle with the driver’s side door ajar and what appeared to be narcotics in plain view. They then watched as the male exited the vehicle and proceeded to conduct a narcotics transaction nearby.
Upon announcing their presence, the suspect fled and officers engaged in a brief foot pursuit before catching up to him. Robert Jamison, 19, of Pittsburgh was arrested and police recovered 83 stamp bags of heroin, a bag of crack cocaine, and nearly $1500 in cash.
A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle Jamison was observed sitting in before his arrest. Inside, police recovered two firearms and a small amount of marijuana.
Jamison is charged with Receiving Stolen Property, two counts of a Carrying a Firearm Without a License, two counts of Possession With Intent to Deliver, and two counts of Prohibited Acts - Possession.
He is currently being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
