Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS, Fire, and Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 5 responded to 911 calls of a male who was found lying at the bottom of the Highland Park swimming pool in the 7200 block of Lake Drive just after 2:30 p.m.
When EMS arrived on scene they found a lifeguard performing CPR on a man in his 60’s who was reportedly not breathing. The lifeguard had pulled the man from the pool.
He was transported by EMS to Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
The man is believed to have had an underlying medical condition.
No foul play is suspected.
