SWAT Responded to Hill District

Summary:
Police responded to a 9-1-1- domestic call for the 800 block of Cherokee Street around 10:15 p.m.
Zone 2 officers met with the caller who stated, a known male was in the basement wanting to harm himself.
SWAT and negotiators were responded to the scene. A second female was located in the basement with the male. SWAT escored her from the basement and out of the home. Negotiators were able to get the male to surrender without incident a short time later.
There were no injuries.
