Police, EMS Respond to Assault Downtown

Summary:

At 7:54 p.m., police in Zone 2 responded to an assault call on the 700 block of Smithfield Street.

Upon arrival, they found a male victim that had been assaulted.

EMS transported him to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police have one person in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE:

One person is charged as a juvenile in relation to this incident.
