Police, Fire, EMS Respond to Child Hit By Vehicle

Summary:
At 8:21 p.m. on July 26, officers in Zone 4 responded to reports of an accident involving a child hit by a vehicle in the 730 block of Johnston Avenue.
Upon arrival, they found a child that had been hit by a vehicle while on a bicycle.
Officers and 13 Engine immediately rendered CPR to the child on-scene.
EMS transported the child to a local hospital with police escort in critical condition.
The driver stayed on scene and voluntarily submitted for testing, per standard procedure in accidents of high severity.
Collision Investigation Unit arrived and processed the scene.
