Police Respond to Brookline for Person Shot on North Side

Summary:
Units in Zone 6 responded to the 2400 block of Starkamp Street around 8 p.m. on July 26, after a witness called and said his neighbor had been shot.
Upon arrival, police found and adult male with a bullet lodged behind his ear. He was conscious and stable.
The victim stated he had been shot on the North Side near Frederick Street, where there had been a Shotspotter alert earlier in the night, and then drove himself to Starkamp Street.
He was transported to the hospital in good condition.
VCU and MCU responded.
The investigation is ongoing.
