Just after 7 a.m., Zone 2 officers were called to Fourth Avenue and Cherry Way Downtown for a collision.
Witnesses say the incident began when a male driving a black Jeep struck a vehicle by the PPG building and then fled eastbound on Fourth at a high
rate of speed.
At the intersection with Cherry Way he ran a red light and was struck by a vehicle crossing the intersection.
The Jeep rolled and flipped as it continued up Fourth Ave, hitting three more vehicles that were parked along the street and pushed one of the vehicles into another vehicle.
In total, there were 7 vehicles that received damage including the two involved in the collision.
The male was transported to the hospital in stable condition with a laceration to his head. The female driver who was struck by the Jeep was transported for evaluation.
