UPDATE: Police Investigate After Teen Shot in Uptown Overnight

UPDATE: The victim in this incident has been pronounced deceased at the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
Incident details:
Just before 2:45 a.m, Zone 2 officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Fifth Avenue for reports of a male with a gunshot wound to the head.
The juvenile victim was taken to the hospital by private means. He arrived in critical condition. Police located a crime scene on Van Braam Street between Fifth and Watson.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
