Pittsburgh Police Officer Treated and Released After Collision

Summary:

Around 8 p.m. on September 5, a vehicle struck a Pittsburgh Police cycle officer in Robinson Township. 

The injured officer and cycle were blocking an Interstate 376 ramp for the presidential escort when the incident occurred. 

The officer was conscious and alert. 

 He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The officer was treated and released overnight. 

The Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
