Date: September 11, 2022
Incident Type: Animal Cruelty
Location: Zone 3
Summary:

On Sunday, 9/11/22 at 5:55 p.m.,  Zone 3 officers responded to the 1600 block of Saint Patrick Street for a report of a dog yelping and crying in pain.

When the responding officer stopped their vehicle to hear the dog, they observed a man, identified as Paris Lundy, open the door to a home while holding a dog on a leash. The officer observed that the dog had blood on its paws and mouth and had a swollen, injured eye. It was also emaciated.

The officer observed Lundy aggressively pull the dog back towards him on the leash and kick it in the face.

The officer then seized the dog and took Lundy into custody.

Animal Control took custody of the dog and took it to receive emergency veterinarian care.

Lundy was taken to Allegheny County Jail. He is facing Cruelty to Animals charges.
