Police, EMS Respond for Reported Carjacking in Elliott

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 were dispatched to the 800 block of Herschel Street just before 4 p.m. for a reported carjacking.
Responding officers located a male victim who was bleeding from the head. Medics treated him on scene after he refused transport to the hospital.
The victim told police he was approached by three males - all armed with guns - who pistol-whipped him. He said one male drove off in his vehicle while the two others fled on foot. Officers located the vehicle a short time later. It was towed for processing by the Pittsburgh Police Auto Squad.
Plainclothes detectives are investigating.
