Police, EMS Respond to One Person Shot in Zone 6

Summary:

At 4:31 a.m. on October 1, Zone 6 officers responded to the 1300 block of Lakewood Drive for a multiple round Shotspotter alert.

Once there, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and rendered aid until EMS arrived on scene. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.

MCU processed the scene and VCU is investigating.
