Police Investigate Armed Robbery in Garfield Neighborhood

Summary:
At approximately 7:15 p.m, Zone 5 officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Penn Avenue for a reported robbery in progress at a convenience store.
Responding units spoke with three employees who stated that two male actors entered the store and threatened them with firearms before stealing cash and cigarettes.
The suspects fled in a vehicle. No one was injured.
The Crime Scene Unit processed evidence at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
