Police Investigate After Woman Shot In Homewood South

Summary:
Just after 4:15 p.m, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched for a person shot on Brushton Avenue at Frankstown Avenue.
Officers located a female victim in her early twenties sitting inside a parked car with a gunshot wound to the side.
Medics transported her to the hospital in critical but stable condition. There was no ShotSpotter notification and there are no witnesses at this time.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. Violent Crime Unit detectives will be investigating.
