Pittsburgh Police, Fire and EMS responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Route 51 just past Woodruff Street around 3:20 a.m.
When they arrived on scene they found a vehicle that had hit the side of a building. The male driver and a male passenger were trapped inside and had to be extracted from the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were transported to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.
Police are investigating.
