Carrick Assault Leaves Man in Critical Condition

Summary:
Shortly after 8 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 were dispatched to the 2100 block of Brownsville Road for reports of a male calling for help outside of an apartment building.
Officers located a male victim with multiple injuries to his head and face from some type of weapon. Medics transported him to the hospital in critical condition.
Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit responded to investigate.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
