Samuel Pegues has been taken into custody by the Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force.

Special thanks also goes to the PA Department of Corrections Field Probation and Parole Services, as well the Swissvale Police Department for their assistance with this investigation leading to the apprehension of Pegues.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Samuel Pegues, 30, in connection with the October 15, 2022 shooting incident that killed two women and one man in the 300 block of Cedar Avenue.

Pegues faces the following charges:

• One Count of Homicide
• One Count of Aggravated Assault
• One Count Persons not to Possess a Firearm
• One Count Carrying a Firearm without a License
• One Count Criminal Conspiracy 

Samuel Pegues is considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call 9-1-1 immediately. 

Jaylone Hines, 21, and Charron Troutman, 19, were previously arrested and charged in connection with the same incident. They are being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
