UPDATE 2: The second victim in this incident, a 21-year-old woman, has died of her injuries. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital at 23:08 on December 6, 2022.

UPDATE: The 4-year-old victim was pronounced deceased by medical professionals after arriving to Children’s Hospital. The Lincoln-Lemington shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.  

Pittsburgh Police and EMS responded to multiple Shotspotter alerts around 6:40 p.m. for the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

When first responders arrived, they located two gunshot victims. Medics transported the young child and adult female. They were last listed in critical condition.

The shooters fled in unknown directions. Neighboring police departments assisted Pittsburgh Police with searching the area.

VCU detectives arrived to process the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
