First responders were dispatched to the 2600 block of Woodland Avenue for reports of an SUV that struck the porch of one home before crashing into another at around 2:15 a.m.
The male driver was pinned between the vehicle and the house. He was extricated by rescue crews and transported by medics in stable condition.
The occupants were evacuated from the house with unknown injuries. One child was taken to the hospital in stable condition. And one adult was transported in critical but stable condition.
Duquesne Light was notified of live wires down and PLI inspectors arrived on scene to assess the stability of the affected structures.
One police officer was evaluated by medics on scene for a hand injury. The Red Cross was notified to assist those who were displaced by the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
