Police, EMS Respond to Shooting in Zone 5

Summary:
At approximately 9:05 p.m., officers in Zone 5 responded to a Shotspotter alert in the area of 7100 block of Race Street.
When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen and head.
EMS transported the victim to a local hospital and he was admitted into surgery.
A female victim also suffered a graze wound and was treated at the local hospital.
VCU responded and the investigation is ongoing.
