Police, EMS, Fire Respond for ShotSpotter Alert, Juvenile Female Injured by Gunfire

Summary:
Just before 10 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 6500 block of Deary Street for a single round ShotSpotter notification followed by 9-1-1 calls.
Responding units located at 17-year-old female at a nearby residence in the 1100 block of Paulson Avenue with a gunshot wound to the arm. Officers applied a tourniquet until medics arrived. She was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene and Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
