UPDATE:
The victim in this incident was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Original incident details: 

Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded for reports of shots fired on Liberty Avenue at Seventh Street just after 2:15 p.m.

Responding units located an adult male victim on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Pittsburgh EMS transported him to the hospital in critical condition. 

Police caught up with two adult male suspects on the lower North Side and detained them for questioning at headquarters. Three firearms were recovered.

The Crime Scene Unit processed evidence at the scene. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.

The response was a cooperative effort by PBP officers from multiple zones, as well as from local law enforcement entities in the area at the time.

The investigation is ongoing.
