Police Investigate Carjacking, Assault in Zone 1

Summary:
At approximately 12:23 a.m., Zone 1 officers responded to the 2300 block of Beaver Avenue for after a report of a carjacking.
The victim reported he was lured to the area of Mannheim Street via a social media post, where four actors threatened him at gunpoint and took his vehicle.
One actor then hit the victim in the head with a gun before leaving the scene.
Medics arrived on scene but the victim refused transport.
The car was later located in South Park Township and towed back for processing.
Auto Squad is investigating.
