Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Northview Heights

Summary:

At 7:47 p.m., Zone 1 officers responded to two separate Shotspotter alerts in the 300 block of Penfort Street. The alerts consisted of seven and two rounds.

Officers found an adult male, approximate age in his 40's, on scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

EMS and Fire also responded.

The victim was pronounced at the scene.

The Mobile Crime Unit responded and processed the scene. VCU is investigating.
