Police Investigate Overnight Shooting

Summary:

Around 1:30 a.m., Zone 4 units responded to the area of Allequippa Street and Kirkpatrick Street for the report of a male with a gunshot wound.

Officers found a man with wounds to the head and chest and EMS transported him to a local hospital in stable condition.

The victim stated the shooting may have happened in the Hill District.

VCU is investigating, and the investigation is ongoing.
