Summary:

At approximately 5:44 p.m., Zone 3 officers responded to a ten round Shotspotter alert in the 3100 block of Cordell Pl.

An adult male was found down on the ground outside in a courtyard with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives recovered a firearm nearby.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene and VCU is investigating.
