Police, EMS, Fire Respond for Gunshot Victim in East Liberty/Garfield Area

Summary:
Shortly before 7:40 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to an apartment in the 5400 block of Penn Avenue for reports of a male who was shot.
Responding units attended to an 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers applied two tourniquets until medics arrived and transported him to the hospital in critical condition.
It is not immediately clear where the incident occurred.
The investigation is ongoing.
