Police Investigate After Shooting Victim Located in Stanton HeightsÂ

Summary:
At approximately 12:35 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to the area of Stanton Avenue and McCabe Street for reports of a male banging on doors stating he was shot.
Responding units searching the area intercepted a private vehicle heading to the hospital with a male victim in the backseat. He had suffered gunshot wounds to the face and arm and was transported by medics in critical condition to undergo surgery.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process evidence and locate a possible crime scene.
Violent Crime Unit detectives were notified and the investigation is ongoing.
